JADE WHARF at london dock
london, uk
The London Dock development blends urban sophistication with waterfront charm, providing a striking setting for this exquisitely designed 2-bedroom show home. The interior design is a refined exploration of Far Eastern culture, seamlessly integrating symbolic elements, textures, and materials to create a harmonious and tranquil environment.
Upon entering, a Jadeite marble feature wall sets the tone, symbolising wealth and fortune while establishing a connection to Oriental traditions. Timber panelling along the corridor adds warmth and texture, inspired by traditional wooden screens and natural materials.
In the kitchen and dining area, deep red timber panels adorned with porcelain butterflies form a dynamic centrepiece, complemented by a Cashmere granite table and sculptural chairs. The living room extends the narrative with walnut panelling and burgundy silk-effect walls, enriched by Wabi-Sabi artwork and bold, textured patterns.
The principal bedroom continues the theme with casement wooden panelling and a ceiling that reflects Oriental woodworking techniques. Gold leaf artwork depicting contemporary Chinois landscapes serves as a focal point, while earthy tones and bamboo-inspired accents evoke serenity and a connection to nature.
In the guest bedroom, a layered design of wooden panels, brass trims, and papyrus-style wallpaper creates a sophisticated backdrop, enhanced by calligraphy-inspired art and rattan furniture that echoes traditional Asian design.
